NATO Intervention Expected

With tension mounting between Syria and NATO an escalation of the intervention is imminently expected. NATO is believed to be discussing troop movements to secure Syria with a promise of 30,000 troops from Turkey to contribute to a NATO mission. However, the US is cautious about contributing a significant number of troops to the mission and it remains unclear whether action will be taking.

An extremist religious group known as “Lehi” (named after a prophet from the Church of Latter Day Saints) has been reinvigorated by the recent “lack of Israeli nationalism” in the cabinet, according to their twitter page. @Lehiforlife: “We grow weary of the lack of direction our government has in regards to the future of the Israeli people.”

The CIA has proven that there are at least 50 members located throughout the State of Israel. Shocking still, intelligence uncovered evidence of Lehi operatives in the government of Israel as well. Could it be that Israel has been against us this entire time? What is the truth? What are lies? Have we been burning the wrong books? More news to come.

Press Release - US Cabinet

The United States Presidential Cabinet has been working hard to ensure the safety of the American people and their allies as well as to protect our national interest. The US Presidential Cabinet has recently received intelligence information from Israel confirming the presence of illegal goods as well armed individuals with militant ties on the Flotilla that was attacked. Whether or not the two American citizens on the flotilla had militant ties or not is still under investigation and there has been no confirmation yet.  Israel’s action of detaining the flotilla is to prevent breaches to its national security and the United States therefore supports it and will offer assistance if necessary. In light of this new information, the United States requests all nations impacted by this incident to reevaluate their course of action to prevent any violent outbreaks or threats to national security rather than escalating the issue by encouraging militarization. The United States continues to strive for peaceful diplomatic solutions and will keep the American people informed.

A turkish flotilla carrying NATO nationals of varying nationalities was attacked by the IDF off of the coast of Gaza today around 3 p.m. The flotilla was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza and was attempting to bypass the Israeli blockade. Reports confirm that Israeli Navy boarded the eight ships of the flotilla after they refused to halt despite orders from the Israeli Navy. At this point, it is unknown what caused the death of the the aid workers. The nationalities of the casualties were confirmed: five Turkish nationals, three French nationals and two American nationals. About a dozen were abducted from the ships by the IDF. They are suspected to all be of Turkish nationality and at least three of them are suspected to have dual Turkish-U.S. citizenships. The ships are said to have been carrying over 20,000 tons of indispensable humanitarian aid, with an estimated value of $30 million.

This incident is reminiscent of the May 2010 flotilla raid by the IDF which caused the death of nine Turks and heightened the political tension between Israel and Turkey. Israel's prime minister had recently apologised to Turkey for "any errors that could have led to loss of life" during the 2010 commando raid on the aid flotilla. A former statement about the apology from Mr Erdogan's office said the two prime ministers had agreed on making arrangements for compensation for families of the dead activists.

Former Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, however, called the decision to apologise a "serious error", Israeli news site Walla reported.

Experts in the region suspect this recent incident will further complicate the relationships between Israel, Turkey and the United States.
