Press Announcement from the Free Syrian Army
The FSA has taken control of several military facilities formerly occupied by the Assad regime. At one of those facilities, we came into possession of chemical warheads and advanced anti-aircraft weaponry. We believe that the chemical warheads were destined to be used against the citizens of Syria. In order to properly secure them, we were transporting the weapons to one of our facilities further removed from the primary combat zones. During transit, we lost contact with the convoy. We believe they came under a coordinated attack, and we have strong belief that the attackers were members of Hezbollah. If this is true, it may be the first known time in history that Hezbollah has come into possession of weapons of mass destruction. The FSA endeavors to retrieve both the weapons and the anti-aircraft missiles, but this may not be possible.
