We, the people of the Republic of Turkey, must stand vigilant in these trying times. Violence
stands at our doorstep, rocking the very heart of our state. First we saw our citizens perish as they fought to bring humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza. Next we watched as a car bomb ripped through Turks practicing their democratic right of peaceful demonstration. We Turkish people are a proud and strong people with a valued and rich history. These attacks, while grave, will not hinder our resolve.
We will root out all those in our territory who wish to threaten the security of the Turkish state. Turkey stands with her people. Sovereignty rests unconditionally with the nation.
