Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoglu has praised the NATO no fly zone over Syria, and urges NATO to create a safe zone in northern Syria for Syrian refugees. Davutoglu stated, "a safe zone in Syria along the Turkish-Syrian border is of utmost necessity to protect Syrian lives, and secure the border." Davutoglu noted that NATO's duty to protect ally Turkey should ensure a quick approval of the safe zone in northern Syria.
